El Vocero: La Plata drops 10 centimeters to 44.83 meters; 16 of 19 reservoirs fall
On August 29, 2026, El Vocero reports, by Peter Amador Rivera, the AAA report from 5:00 a.m. Saturday. La Plata lost 10 centimeters and stood at 44.83 meters, below the 44.90-meter adjustments threshold. Carraízo dropped 6 centimeters, to 37.14. Cidra, 2 centimeters, to 400.04. Río Blanco is at 24.36 meters, under observation. Fajardo, 46.33, also under observation. Sixteen of 19 reservoirs register drops. Guineo, Guayo, and Dos Bocas rise.
Carraízo rationing, according to that page, covers some 180,000 customers, with 48-hour zones since early August. On the 29th, NotiCel covered La Plata's adjustments without a programmed cut: La Plata enters adjustments, not rationing. Here the fact is the elevation: 44.83, one centimeter under the threshold. Two dispatches. They are not fused.
El Vocero still prints the Monitor as D3 33.3 percent, D2 29.6, D1 10.5, and D0 9.5, with 73 percent in drought and 82.9 if D0 is added. That map lags the one from the 27th in El Nuevo Día, which put D3 at 44.45: more than 44 percent under extreme drought. El Vocero's figures are printed as El Vocero's. Then it is said they lag. They are not averaged. This note does not rewrite the map of the 27th.
What remains is 44.83 meters, 16 reservoirs down, and a D3 of 33.3 that the paper still carries. A reader who wants the 5:00 a.m. report has the El Vocero URL at the foot. This is not original reporting.
