OGP confirms the start of payments to Provisional Remedy providers

On July 27, 2026, Radio Isla reports that payments to Provisional Remedy providers began to go out, as confirmed on Pega'os en la Mañana by the director of the Office of Management and Budget, Orlando Rivera. Changes in the disbursement structure, he says, caused delays. This Thursday about $200 million was disbursed to the Department of Education, which made it possible to advance the pending items.

Around almost $200 million, he adds, plus about $45 million under custody that the Financial Oversight Board required remain until Education goals are met. In total, almost $250 million. In this case, they are requiring of the Department an auction related to the transportation process. Radio Isla links a note about a senator who alerts a deficit of up to $16 million in transporters and provisional remedy. That $16 million figure is not turned here into this magazine's own count.

On July 24, NotiCel covered APPSSRE's denunciation: more than 69,000 unpaid therapy services and the risk of two months of debt between August 1 and 10. On the 31st, Eliezer Ramos Parés will tell NotiCel that he will present to the Board a debt of about $12.6 million and that a $17,748,534 reprogramming of June 30 does not cover everything. Three amounts, three spokespeople: OGP, providers, and secretary. A winner is not chosen.

Orlando Rivera speaks as budget director; Jenniffer González Colón does not appear. The Board appears as the one that held $45 million tied to a transportation auction. This note does not confirm that the 69,000 services have already been paid. It confirms the start of the disbursement OGP names.
