Thomas Rivera Schatz cites DDEC and Hacienda over the Politank Corp. decree

On June 30, 2026, Senate president Thomas Rivera Schatz files Information Petitions 2026-0099, to the Departamento de Desarrollo Económico y Comercio, and 2026-0100, to the Departamento de Hacienda, on Politank Corp.'s tax decree. The deadline is 72 hours. The Senate orders a citation in a legislative investigation. The trigger the ledger records is a June 29 internal audit: omission of Exempt Business Annual Reports and possible recoupment if the decree is revoked. The Senate URL returned 404 when opened for this desk. Auditor names, decree amounts, and Incentives Code articles the page did not deliver are not filled in.

Nelson J. Pantoja does not appear in this row's ledger as a named addressee; the institutional addressee is Hacienda. Carlos J. Ríos Pierluisi, confirmed June 22 as DDEC secretary, is the head of the agency to which 2026-0099 goes, but the fallen page does not cite him: a reply is not put in his mouth.

On June 18, Metro covered Francisco Domenech's sworn statements against Sebastián Negrón Reichard over decrees to Reichard & Escalera clients. Politank is another decree, another URL, another June 30. The files are not fused. On the 22nd, the Senate had approved PS 985, technical amendments to the Internal Revenue Code, on a distinct page. Asking for papers of a decree is not amending the Code.

Nor is this petition used to explain the AEE offer or the 1.34-cent rise, acts of the same 30th with other sources. What remain are numbers 2026-0099 and 2026-0100, the 72 hours, Politank Corp., and the Exempt Business Annual Reports. The URL, though 404, is the cited source. This is not original reporting.
