The Board amends the LUMA and Genera budgets after the rate

On June 18, 2026, according to the date on the page and in the clip, El Nuevo Día reports that the Fiscal Oversight Board certifies an amendment to the LUMA Energy and Genera PR budgets in light of the rate review. The concrete dek is LUMA's: it receives an operating increase 13 days from the fiscal close. The operating increase the clip sustains is $189 million.

The Spanish body arrived truncated. An English version, named in the search, puts LUMA's allocation at $969 million, from $780 million. Those two published layers are used, and the Spanish that did not open is not filled in. Genera's amended figure, which this row's clip does not bring, is not invented. The headline names both operators. The operating number that is there is LUMA's.

Two months later, on August 26, El Nuevo Día covers another cut, this one by the Negociado de Energía on Genera: the operating budget moves from $345 million provisional to about $278 million this fiscal year. That August note is not this June amendment. The 278 is not used to rebuild the line June did not keep.

On August 20, NotiCel publishes that the Negociado gives LUMA ten days to update the temporary-generation gap, and that it no longer takes as given the old 700-to-850 MW deficit LUMA had put down in March 2025. That same August 20, Metro covers Janisse Quiñones warning that service is under threat without the temporary generation. Those August pieces talk about megawatts and peak reserve. This June one talks about an operating budget after the rate. They are named as context, not as a single numeric docket.

Thirteen days from the fiscal close, a $189 million increase for LUMA, and an English version that moves the allocation from 780 to 969. The truncated Spanish is not completed from memory.
