Jenniffer González Colón assigns 645,320 dollars to Dorado roads

On June 18, 2026, La Fortaleza reports that Governor Jenniffer González Colón formalized a collaborative funds-transfer agreement with the Municipality of Dorado. The figure the release puts is 645,320 dollars for segmented repaving and road improvements on the municipality's state roads: PR-694, PR-828, and PR-693. Attending the signing were mayor Aníbal José Torres, District 11 representative Elinette González, and Department of Transportation and Public Works secretary Edwin González.

The agreement, La Fortaleza says, will allow milling, paving, traffic control, installation of reflective markers, and other riding-surface improvements. There is on the page no breakdown by road or a mileage. What remains is the total and the three routes. The agreement is between DTOP and the municipality, not a federal allocation the text has figured.

On June 4, La Fortaleza had announced paving in Añasco (PR-402, 4,462,086.98 dollars) and San Sebastián (PR-446, 1,765,543.50 dollars), from a 94 million package the Junta de Supervisión Fiscal approved for municipal streets. On June 11, it announced 7,288,277 dollars for permanent improvements in 17 municipalities, Dorado among them. This June 18 note is another act: a specific 645,320-dollar agreement for three state roads in Dorado. The three announcements are not added into a single fund.

Nor is this figure used to talk about the 13,180 million General Fund budget the House would approve four days later. They are distinct threads. The Dorado release does not mention the Junta or PROMESA. Whoever wants the agreement text or the reach of each stretch has the La Fortaleza URL. This is not original reporting.
