PH: LUMA — 15 towns face possible interruptions for maintenance
On September 10, 2026, Primera Hora detailed the same LUMA work package that could cause interruptions in sectors of 15 municipalities. The note breaks out vegetation removal in Cidra (Arena/Santa María), a long list of communities and developments in Cabo Rojo (Puerto Real, Buyé, Guaniquilla, Alturas de Miradero, etc.), Ponce (Anaida Gardens, Campo Alegre, La Ceiba housing, among others), San Juan (Wonderville Urano/Neptuno and El Paraíso) and Vega Baja (Jardines).
It also lists pole resilience in Lares, Arecibo (AAA area), Bayamón Sierra Linda, Aguas Buenas PR-156, Gurabo, Cabo Rojo Boquerón and Juana Díaz; customer work in Isabela; and line/equipment replacement in Fajardo (Extensión Santa Isidra III), Maunabo (PR-759 Matuyas Alto) and Patillas (PR-3 Providencia).
LUMA asks customers to prepare for possible cuts while work lasts. Work notice ≠ systemic failure or federal disbursement. Primary: Primera Hora 2026-09-10 (cousin Vocero 729).
