Cuyar: 14 months without water; Carraízo pause is more populist — doubts AAA
On September 1, 2026, Radio Isla reported Governor González Colón announced a temporary pause to Carraízo rationing after Dolly remnant rains. Temporary pause is not plan closure. The pause note of the 1st and the indefinite update of the 2nd are cross-linked; this desk does not rewrite them.
Cuyar of Exigimos Agua called the decision “more populist than anything else,” citing 14 months without water in listed San Juan-area sectors. Fourteen months without service is not the Carraízo reservoir gauge. He doubted AAA would deliver water even with the pause.
