González Delgado opposes an extra credit for outages; Metro prints him in favor, with amendments

On August 31, 2026, El Vocero reports, by Reina Mateo, that Luis R. González Delgado opposed, in the House Transportation committee, before José «Cheito» Hernández Concepción, an extra credit for lack of potable water. PC 1334: inspect leaks in 24 hours, start repairs in 48, a 20 percent credit after 24 hours without water, up to 100. González Delgado: extra credits hit the JCF fiscal plan and AAA's rate power. Brigades now take 3 to 5 days. The technology, he said, is «listos para el 2031.» This note is dated the 31st, hearing day. It is not moved to the 1st.

Metro, on September 1 at 3:00 a.m., by Paola N. Sierra Gelpí, prints him supporting PC 1334 with amendments, open to rewriting Reglamento 8901. Telemundo and Cybernews, on the 31st at 11:53 p.m., put a rejection of the bill credit for prolonged interruptions. Those are versions. No winner is chosen. They are not averaged. El Vocero's 31st is opposition. Metro's 1st is support with amendments.

Another note of the 31st covers meters that do not run without water: the bill should fall. That is not this bill. This note does not rewrite that one. What remains is a PC 1334, a no from González Delgado, and a yes with amendments in Metro. A reader who wants the House hearing has the El Vocero URL at the foot. This is not original reporting.
