New York sends 49,920 bottles; Hochul and Afya date the aid on the 27th

On Thursday, August 27, 2026, Univision Puerto Rico reports that New York is sending nearly 50 thousand bottles of water to Puerto Rico. Kathy Hochul, Fundación Afya, and corporate donors load 26 pallets: 49,920 bottles for San Juan and adjoining cities. Univision cites Hochul on New Yorkers acting in a crisis. Those 49,920 are from this URL. The source is not switched.

Jenniffer González Colón was in New York ringing the NYSE bell for investment. Univision writes that she did not give much weight to the rationing that leaves more than 500,000 people without water at least three days a week. On the 25th, El Nuevo Día covered that bell at another URL, the Ley 60 extension on Wall Street. This note does not rewrite it. Here the fact is the bottle aid Univision dates on the 27th.

On Wednesday the 26th, the USDA declared a drought disaster in 26 of 78 municipalities. Univision lists them; this desk names the count and that they are, for the most part, in the south and the center, far from north-metro rationing. The list is not dumped. On the 21st, another dispatch had put 29 municipalities: another date, another count. They are not fused.

El Nuevo Día, on the morning of the 28th, prints 45,000 bottles and 1,900 boxes. Those are two printed figures. No winner is chosen. The source of this page remains Univision and the 49,920. There is on that URL no Monday the 31st sea shipment. It is not added. What remains is 26 pallets, 49,920 bottles, and a USDA of 26 municipalities. This is not original reporting.
