The new fiscal year's General Fund stands at $13,174 million

On July 6, 2026, El Nuevo Día asks how the new fiscal year's budget finally stood and answers with the figure that fits the dek: the General Fund stands at $13,174 million. The governor signed the 2026-27 budget. It came in below the original $13,180 million. It takes effect July 1. Which agency was cut is not invented.

The agency-by-agency body was truncated when the page was opened. What the dek and the on-page figure do sustain is 13,174 against 13,180. This magazine does not fill the missing table with memories of other years or with the Board's breakdown. If the newspaper published more lines and the clip did not keep them, they are not rebuilt here.

On June 29, the Fiscal Oversight Board certified $33.6 billion for FY2027: a General Fund of $13.2 billion, special funds of $5.5 billion, and federal funds of $14.9 billion. El Nuevo Día's 13,174 and the Board's 13.2 are not averaged. One figure is what the newspaper attributes to Jenniffer González Colón's signature on July 6. The other is what the body put in its June 29 certification. Two layers.

The close of the year then ending was another docket. On June 30, the Board certified the revised FY2026 budget as imposed, without agreement on the municipal-road rules. On July 1, NotiCel recounted that close with $35 million for roads, $33 million for ADEA coffee, $90 million more for special education, and a rate reserve of $222 million over $683 million. Those lines belong to imposed FY2026, not to the 13,174 signature.

On August 14, Caribbean Business would publish that repealing the crudita would open a $1.675 billion hole on that revenue frame. On July 6 what there is is the signed figure and the admission that the agency table did not arrive whole. The figures are those El Nuevo Día published on the page.
