Jenniffer González Colón inspects development projects in Ceiba

On July 4, 2026, NotiCel reports that Governor Jenniffer González Colón visited Ceiba as part of the Cumpliendo contigo initiative, together with several agency heads, to address the municipality's priority projects. On that day, according to the outlet, the plans of the secretary of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce, Carlos J. Ríos Pierluisi, to back the development of Roosevelt Roads were highlighted. NotiCel names the secretary that way. This magazine copies the name from that page.

Carlos J. Ríos Pierluisi, according to the coverage, highlighted coordination between the Government of Puerto Rico and the municipality to keep attracting private investment, strengthen Ceiba's competitiveness, and expand economic-development opportunities in the region. Jenniffer González Colón, together with the administrator of the Administration for the Comprehensive Care and Development of Childhood, Amy Vega, inspected Ceiba's 2 Generaciones Center, a childhood-development project in which state and federal funds have been invested for new equipment. The outlet does not publish the amount of that equipment here. The inspection stands.

The governor, together with Ceiba mayor Samuel Rivera and Housing secretary Luis Augusto Martínez, inspected work on the public plaza, which involves a $4.6 million investment. "Our commitment is to work with the mayors so that projects advance, are completed, and translate into better services, greater economic activity, and a better quality of life for residents," Jenniffer González Colón concluded. That is her phrase. There is no inauguration calendar in the note, nor a Roosevelt Roads job count that NotiCel did not put down.

This July 4 visit is not the $635 million surplus nor the July 1 line-item veto, nor the $80,000 fine on Politank Corp. that NotiCel covered on July 8, also with Carlos J. Ríos Pierluisi at DDEC. A municipal tour, a budget veto, and a decree sanction are three acts. The reader who wants the Ceiba chronicle has the NotiCel URL at the foot.
