The Junta approves 7 million more for Alight and the defined-contribution plan

On June 22, 2026, the Junta de Supervisión Fiscal publishes an Approved with Observations determination on the contract between the Junta de Retiro and Alight Solutions Caribe, Inc. The third amendment adds 7,000,000 dollars and leaves the contract at 35,000,000 dollars to administer the New Defined Contribution Plan created by Law 106-2017. The term does not change. Those three figures — the increase, the new total, and the law — are what CR_PUBLIC 7398 PDF lists.

Approved with Observations is not a blank check. The Junta's stamp means the contract passed PROMESA review with observations, not that this magazine has audited Alight's statements or the plan's participant census. There is here no number of individual accounts nor a per-participant fee that this note's document has not put. In June, the same CR_PUBLIC series had already covered UPR, Fomento, and LUMA amendments: this PDF 7398 is the retirement one, not those.

On June 28, Microjuris would recount the Junta's sign-off on OATRH Normative Letter 1-2026 on central-government compensation and the single employer of Law 8-2017. That salary regulation and this defined-plan administration contract are two papers. The 35 million are not used to explain civil-service reform, nor the reverse.

Nor is this amendment mixed with the 3,000 million dollar offer to AEE bondholders the Junta would announce on June 30. Public-employee retirement and Autoridad de Energía Eléctrica debt are distinct creditors. What remain are the 7 million, the 35, and Law 106-2017. The Junta PDF is at the foot. This is not original reporting.
