Jenniffer González Colón asks for permanent Medicaid and sells gains before the U.S. Senate
On June 17, 2026, La Fortaleza publishes that Governor Jenniffer González Colón appears before the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. She claims equality, statehood, and a Medicaid ceiling before September 2027. More than 1.3 million, according to that outlet, depend on Medicaid. The figures that follow belong to La Fortaleza. They are not audited and not replaced by another office's.
The text says $900 million was cut in contracts, that about 400 regulations are being touched and more than 13,000 pages. March employment stands at 1.1 million, the highest since 2008. That employment layer is not mixed with later ones. On August 21, El Nuevo Día covers Governor Jenniffer González Colón at ExpoCom speaking of a labor force of 1.2 million. On August 22, NotiCel publishes the Department of Labor with 1,171,000 employed and a labor force of 1,245,000 in July. March, ExpoCom, and July are three speakers. They are not averaged.
On trade, La Fortaleza puts exports up 3.6 percent to $64,200 million and a trade surplus of more than 30 percent. It cites 23 companies, more than $2,600 million, and about 5,700 jobs. Other outlets, other days, other numbers. On August 24, El Nuevo Día picks up La Fortaleza with exports of more than $53.9 billion against imports of $48.5 billion, and 5,069 jobs with $2.6 billion via OE-2025-012. On August 21, at ExpoCom, she cites a surplus of $5,400 million, 53,900 against 48,500; the Institute, in the same El Nuevo Día text, puts 2025 exports at $62,435 million and a surplus of $7,402 million. On August 25, NotiCel gives the Institute's figures for FY2026: exports of $59,706,839,226, imports of $52,931,763,234, a balance of $6,775,075,992. The layers are left. There is no winner.
On energy and water, the June release speaks of 1,600 MW restored, $368 million from the Department of Energy, and a gas conversion of about $180 million a year. On water, 351 projects and more than $7,500 million. Four statehood plebiscites since 2012. Those figures live in this La Fortaleza outlet, not in the August notes on drought.
On June 29, the Board will certify FY2027 and Robert F. Mujica Jr. will put Medicaid among what remains, with a federal cap and without MCOs in the budget. On June 17, Jenniffer González Colón asks for the permanent ceiling before the Senate. Ask and hole. Two dates. This magazine does not reconcile La Fortaleza's trade with the Institute's. It names who said what.
