Jenniffer González Colón signs Laws 105, 106, and 107 of 2026

On June 10, 2026, at La Fortaleza, Governor Jenniffer González Colón turns three measures into law. The page is one. The three signatures are not split into three notes. Law 105-2026, Senate Bill 101 from Carmelo Ríos, regulates the use of artificial intelligence in electoral communications: all propaganda generated or altered, in whole or in part, by AI systems must carry a clear disclosure. It amends the Law for the Oversight of Political Campaigns and the Electoral Code. It defines AI, including generative text, image, audio, and video, and names the risk of disinformation.

Law 106-2026, Senate Bill 209 from Nitza Morán, amends Law 171-2014, aligns the workforce system with the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and makes official the name Conexión Laboral for the program attached to the Departamento de Desarrollo Económico y Comercio. Jenniffer González Colón speaks of connecting people with jobs and skills. The law reinforces private-sector participation and coordination with municipalities and labor organizations.

Law 107-2026, also from Nitza Morán, extends through December 31, 2030 the incentives of the Special Law for the Rehabilitation of Río Piedras: rehabilitation of properties, new construction, businesses in the special zone, jobs, and cultural activity. Beneficiaries must receive annual orientation on community integration. Public employees who evaluate applications, periodic training.

This note's topic is politics because La Fortaleza's lead is electoral transparency; the other two laws, labor and incentives, go in the same package. On June 12 the governor signs Law 111-2026 of the Insurance Code: another URL. On the 16th she signs the Jayuya agricultural package: another. Here 105, 106, and 107 fit as the page lists them.

There is no legislative vote count in the release. The reader has La Fortaleza. This is not original reporting.
