El Nuevo Día: Molina alleges Tropical Fruit was closing a public access; the Senate dismisses two complaints
On February 18, 2026, El Nuevo Día reports that the Senate Ethics Committee dismissed two complaints against independent senator Eliezer Molina Pérez. Manuel Guillama Capella bylines the note, at 1:19 p.m., updated at 5:16 p.m. The headline speaks of "supuesto discrimen religioso". The paywall body was truncated. What the page does leave in view is the photo caption: "Molina Pérez ha alegado que la finca agrícola Tropical Fruit impedía el acceso en un área pública".
That phrase is El Nuevo Día's, not a boundary survey by this magazine. Access to the coast — who closes a passage the senator calls public — is the fact this note records. The complaints, the paper says, imputed a "campaign of selective persecution" against the farm's owner in Guayanilla. The Committee dismissed them. One complainant, the summary adds, took a referral to the Department of Justice. This page does not turn that referral into a charge.
The vocabulary of the complaints is not centered here, nor is it written as if Molina were litigating against the Governor. There is in the visible part no docket number and no comparison with another country. What remains is February 18: an access the senator says is public, and two complaints the Senate did not sustain. This is not original reporting.
The paper tags the piece with Molina, the Senate, Juan Oscar Morales, and Israel. This note does not develop those tags beyond what the visible text holds. A reader who wants the paywall body or the referral has the URL at the foot.
Other notes in this lot cover Esencia and Ley 82. This one does not paste them. The thread is the passage to the coast in Guayanilla and the ethics close in the Senate. Guillama Capella dates both February 18. This magazine invents neither a reserve nor a project the page does not name.
