ENDI: Carraízo and La Plata rise for the second day (39.25 / 44.46 m)

On September 15, 2026, El Nuevo Día reported the AAA monitoring at 5:00 a.m.: for the second consecutive day, Carraízo and La Plata woke up to increases amid the drought that still affects much of Puerto Rico.

Carraízo (Trujillo Alto) rose 9 centimeters to 39.25 meters and remains under “observation.” La Plata gained 6 centimeters to 44.46 meters and continues in “operational adjustments.” On the general board, 9 out of 19 reservoirs rose, eight fell, and two remained unchanged.

Guayo (Lares) led the increases (+12 cm to 442.92 m). Caonillas (+5), Loco (+4), Matrullas and Garzas (+2), Cidra (+1 to 400.27, observation) and Guineo (+1, overflow) also rose. The most marked decreases: Dos Bocas (−12 cm) and Lucchetti (−8); also Patillas, Fajardo, Río Blanco, Guayabal, Guajataca and Cerrillos. Toa Vaca and Carite unchanged.

Update the reservoir thread of the week (cousin 736 / 737): temporary increase ≠ end of drought nor formal lifting of the rationing plan on hold. Primary source: El Nuevo Día 2026-09-15.
