PH: 12 of 19 reservoirs rise; La Plata without relief ahead of dry weekend

On September 11, 2026, Primera Hora summarized the AAA board: 12 of 19 reservoirs rose as the island headed into a rainless weekend. Carraízo rose 0.13 m to 39.20 m (observation). Cidra rose 0.05 m to 400.27 m and stood under observation. La Plata again lost 0.10 m to 44.14 m: still in adjustments, without active rationing for its customers.

Toa Vaca, Río Blanco, Fajardo, Carite, Patillas, Matrullas, Guayabal, Garzas, Guayo and Caonillas also rose. NWS anticipated Saharan dust (hazy skies, worse air quality), an extreme-heat advisory and a Sunday with more showers toward the west.

Carraízo/Cidra rise ≠ drought closure; a dry weekend raises the risk of new drops. Primary: Primera Hora 2026-09-11.
