Police and protesters clash at the Caribe Hilton; TeleOnce prints tear gas

On August 22, 2026, Saturday, El Nuevo Día reports that police officers and protesters clash during a Jenniffer González Colón event at the Caribe Hilton, Condado: a second birthday and fundraiser. MST, Colectiva Feminista, MVC, Juventud MVC, and Jornada Se Acabaron Las Promesas are there. Water, power, Esencia. Police, in protective gear, form a line at Dos Hermanos. This note does not call the protest illegal. It is dated the 22nd. It is a catch-up. It is not moved to the 23rd.

El Vocero, the same 22nd, says protesters blocked Dos Hermanos; Col. Juan Cáceres Méndez had a plan from 3:00 p.m. TeleOnce, by Andrea Osorio Gelpí, prints Fuerza de Choque and tear gas. The gas, here, is TeleOnce's. The denial lives on the 23rd, in another note. Those are versions of the same street. No winner is chosen. They are not averaged. El Vocero carries the blockade. TeleOnce carries the gas. El Nuevo Día carries the clash.

On the 15th, this desk covered another fundraiser at Hotel San Juan: protest over water and power at the fundraiser. This note does not rewrite that one. What remains is a clash at the Hilton, a colonel's plan, and TeleOnce gas. A reader who wants El Nuevo Día's 22nd has the URL at the foot. This is not original reporting.
