HUD CDBG-MIT: 7.5 percent of B-18-DP-72-0002; not Slow Spender, not the electrical grant

On August 1, 2026, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development publishes its CDBG-MIT Grant Financial Report, file 8-1-2026. Grant B-18-DP-72-0002: $8,285,284,000 awarded, $7,662,350,163.18 remaining, 7.5 percent expended, about $622.9 million drawn. The same series: 5.7 percent on January 1, 2026, 6.1 on April 1. This note does not attach the Slow Spender tag. That tag is CDBG-DR. This table is CDBG-MIT. Separate pots.

It is also not electrical grant B-18-DE at 5.1 percent: 5.1 percent, energy grant. The 5.1 is CDBG-DR energy. The 7.5 is MIT. They are not fused. On the same sheet, Texas GLO stands at 37.9 percent of $4.30 billion and Florida at 31.7 percent of $633.5 million. They are printed. No winner is chosen. They are not averaged. Pace is not theft.

What remains is 7.5, 5.7, 6.1, and two other paces from Texas and Florida. A reader who wants the August 1 table has the HUD PDF at the foot. This is not original reporting.
