Jenniffer González Colón formalizes paving in Añasco and San Sebastián

On June 4, 2026, in Añasco, Governor Jenniffer González Colón formalizes the agreements to repave state roads in Añasco and San Sebastián. She does so in front of PR-402, with Añasco mayor Kabir Solares García, San Sebastián mayor Eladio Layito Cardona Quiles, Department of Transportation and Infrastructure undersecretary Lissette Lugo, and neighbors of the road. The allocations, La Fortaleza says, come from the 94 million dollars the governor got the Junta de Supervisión Fiscal to approve for municipal streets and roads.

In Añasco, PR-402 carries an estimated investment of 4,462,086.98 dollars. The estimated maximum average daily traffic the release publishes is 18,409 vehicles. In San Sebastián, PR-446 carries 1,765,543.50 dollars and an estimated maximum average daily traffic of 6,044 vehicles. Those two traffic figures are La Fortaleza's, not a count by this magazine. The text does not put a work-start date or a ribbon-cutting date.

The same June 4, two other La Fortaleza URLs cover Hospital San Antonio (10 million) and the Mayagüez regional plant (123.3 million). The paving is not added to those ceilings. On June 1, Robert F. Mujica Jr. had written to the mayors about municipal excise on federal works; that letter is another thread. These 94 million are the street package La Fortaleza attributes to a prior Junta sign-off, not the Law 215 dispute.

Jenniffer González Colón appears in La Fortaleza's headline without the Colón on one line and with the full name in the office. This note uses Jenniffer González Colón, the canonical name. Kabir Solares García and Eladio Cardona Quiles remain as the release names them.

Whoever wants the agreement or the breakdown of the 94 million package has to go beyond this page. Here the two roads, the two amounts, and the two traffic figures fit. This is not original reporting.
