Félix “el Cano” Delgado pleaded guilty to kickbacks, conspiracy and bribery
Former Cataño mayor Félix “el Cano” Delgado pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy, bribery and “kickbacks,” as part of an agreement with federal prosecutors over a complaint issued November 30, the same day he tendered his resignation as the municipality’s chief executive.
According to El Nuevo Día, by David Cordero Mercado (December 2, 2021), the primary’s dek says he reached an agreement with federal prosecutors and that the outlet links the document. The primary’s photo caption notes he presented his resignation as mayor of Cataño on Tuesday.
This desk does not invent bribe amounts, co-defendants or sentencing terms: the rest of the primary’s body sits behind a subscription. A guilty plea is not a final sentence until the court imposes the penalty; a complaint alone is not a prior conviction before the plea.
