El Nuevo Día: 21% disbursed; 25% on obligated grid funds

On July 1, 2026, at 3:18 p.m., El Nuevo Día reports, by José A. Delgado, GAO-26-107772 on the electric grid. The headline says only 21 percent of grid funds has been disbursed. The dek adds that, on obligated funds, disbursements stand at 25 percent. In that coverage, FEMA shows about 13.2 billion allotted and about 2.7 billion disbursed; total obligated is about 14.3 billion. Obligated is not disbursed. Allotted is not obligated.
