Carraízo volta a baixar; segue em observação
On September 5, 2026, NotiCel — by Diego Nieves Berríos — reported AAA’s daily reservoir monitoring: thirteen of 19 reservoirs fell, five rose and one was unchanged. This note anchors that September 5 snapshot, not a rationing plan or drought closure.
Carraízo (Trujillo Alto) fell for a second consecutive day: −0.08 m, to 39.01 meters. It had logged four days of gains that moved it from operational-adjustment alert to observation; it now sits about a meter and a half from returning to adjustments. La Plata (Comerío) remains in adjustments since August 29 (−0.03 m). Río Blanco (Naguabo) fell 0.04 m to 24.85 m, under a meter from adjustments; Fajardo fell 0.05 m and sits nearly two meters from that threshold.
Among risers: Loco (Yauco) +0.10 m, moving from observation to security; Guineo (Orocovis) +0.02 m and spilling since September 3; also Matrullas (+0.02 m), Guayo (+0.08 m) and Caonillas (+0.06 m, under a meter from spill). Largest drop: Dos Bocas (Arecibo) −0.26 m, from spill to security (89.70 m). Cidra unchanged for two days; in adjustments since August 2. Figures are AAA monitoring as cited by NotiCel; this desk does not audit them against AAA SCADA.
NWS anticipated variable weather, eastern showers and a heat advisory. Spot rain ≠ end of drought; one-day drop ≠ automatic restart of rationing. Primary: NotiCel 5 Sep 2026.
